Community tips
General
- Use hammers to find the statue and progress to the next stage.
- Stage 10 completed yields collection items.
- Floor 23 unlocks a hero skin; Floor 27 a player skin; Floor 33 the Hero Artifact (after the 4th Mayan you can choose).
Hammer cost rises to 2 after Stage 20. Aiming for a specific reward or stage can vary heavily in cost — be careful.
Tips
Open tiles in a chessboard pattern (do not open tiles right next to each other) — the correct solution usually has two tiles that can hit the portal.
The 4-tile statue is usually somewhere on the edge, but do not dig the very edge tiles — stay one tile into the board.
Save the Stage 10 axe for past Stage 20 to preserve hammers once cost is higher, if you plan to go beyond Stage 20.
After the $19.99 bundle, hammer value drops sharply. Unless you intend to buy the packs out fully, do not buy beyond those bundles, and spread spending across multiple days.
In-game help
Mayan Ruins is a limited-time event in Pop Epoch. Typical rules are below; schedules and rewards can change by season.

Mayan Ruins
4
- During the event, you may explore the map in search of Maya statue! Each floor of the map contains several regular rewards and one statue. Once the statue on the current floor is found, you can proceed to the next floor to continue the treasure hunt.
- Each excavation consumes a certain number of hammers. The number required increases as you advance through higher floors.
- Digging ordinary tiles grants the rewards hidden underneath. There is also a chance to discover a special item: Thor's Axe, which clears all tiles in a cross-shaped area when used.
- After finding a statue, you have four chances to wipe it. Each wipe may improve the statue's quality. When all four wipes are completed, you'll receive rewards based on the final quality.
Grand Prize
3
- Each floor contains a Grand Prize, which can be either a Fixed Prize or a Custom Prize.
- You may freely choose the reward for the Custom Prize. Once the statue is found and wiped, the chosen prize will be granted.
- The Fixed Prize is a permanent reward specific to each floor. Once the statue is found and wiped, this fixed reward will be received accordingly.
Mayan Shop
3
- While excavating tiles, you may obtain [Ruincity Coin] and [Ruincity Slates], which can be exchanged for items in the shop.
- Some items in the shop can only be exchanged after reaching a specified number of excavations.
- After the event ends, Ruincity Coin and Ruincity Slates will not be reclaimed.

3

- Each reward can be claimed only once.
- After the event ends, any unclaimed rewards will not be reissued. Claim them in time!
