How LoA Alexandria’s community tools handle browser storage, accounts, and optional analytics.
This is a plain-language policy for the community project. It describes the services currently used by the site; it is not legal advice. If something here is unclear, please ask the project moderators in the community Discord.

- We do not enable session replay or automatic click and typing capture.
- Signing in uses Supabase and, if you choose Discord sign-in, Discord’s authorisation flow.
Browser storage and cookies
The site uses browser storage for essential preferences such as your selected language, colour scheme, navigation state, and in-progress editor drafts. When you sign in, Supabase may store session information in your browser so that the account remains signed in.
The optional analytics choice is stored locally in your browser. You can change it at any time using the Cookie settings control in the bottom corner of the site when analytics is enabled.
Some providers may use their own cookies or similar technology when their service is used, including Discord during Discord sign-in and Cloudflare Turnstile when completing account-protection checks.
Optional analytics and error reports
If you opt in, we use PostHog to understand aggregated page visits and browser errors so we can improve the site. This can include pages viewed, approximate device and browser information, and technical error details. It does not include session recordings, automatic click capture, or what you type into the site.
PostHog is not started until you consent. Choosing “Reject” keeps it off. You can withdraw consent later with Cookie settings; this stops future optional analytics from this browser.
Please do not include sensitive or personal information in text that could become part of a browser error report.
Accounts, community features, and payments
Creating an account or using signed-in community features can involve an email address, username, account identifier, and the content you choose to submit. You may link Discord to an existing account and, after linking, choose a public display name shown in the account menu and community conversations. Discord sign-in provides the identity details needed to verify configured community roles; the site does not receive your Discord password.
When an administrator approves a guild request without a Discord ID, the requester’s Supabase account ID is stored privately as the guild-master assignment and grants access to that guild’s community tools. A Discord ID can be used instead when one is available.
Premium purchases are handled by PayPal and are available for $5, $10, or $15, granting 30, 60, or 90 days. Payment-card and payment-account details are handled by PayPal, not by this site. To link a purchase to the signed-in account and prevent duplicate grants, this site stores the verified PayPal capture reference and amount. Administrators can also start a one-cent test payment in PayPal Sandbox; PayPal handles the test checkout, while this site uses the temporary order ID to confirm the test capture and does not store it or grant Premium from it.
When you enable translation in a guild or alliance chat, or request a translation for one message, that message text and the selected source and target language codes are sent to MyMemory. The translation is cached on the same Supabase message record and is available only to people who can already read that chat. If configured, the project contact email is also sent to MyMemory to support its higher free daily allowance. Translation stays optional, and the original message remains available.

- Supabase provides authentication, database, storage, and server-side functions for community features.
- Discord provides optional sign-in and community integrations.
- Cloudflare provides Turnstile, used to protect relevant account flows from abuse.
- PostHog provides optional analytics and browser-error reporting, only after consent.
- PayPal processes optional Premium payments.
- MyMemory translates guild and alliance chat messages only when a user enables or requests translation.
Your choices and questions
You can use the calculator and guide content without creating an account and can refuse optional analytics. You can also sign out of your account through the account menu. For questions about this policy, account data, or a deletion request, contact the project moderators through the community Discord.
We will update this page when the site’s data practices change. Material changes take effect when the updated policy is published here.
